Introduce 6 months Baby Solid Foods

Research shows us that babies should be exposed to the greatest VARIETY of foods and FLAVOURS and TASTES and TEXTURES. Those are the babies who become independent eaters and are less likely to be picky eaters. So……

If we are to wait 3-5 days before introducing a new food. It will take forever to get your baby eating wide variety of foods, how can your baby learn different texture, flavor, taste, types of foods before turning one

TIPS:So we want to encourage you to offer your baby one new food a day, one new allergenic food a week. And when it comes to the allergenic food introduction, we have to do it EARLY and OFTEN

This means you can introduce eggs 2x/day, then 2 times each the next 2 days. AAP and CDC recommend waiting 3-5 days between the

introduction of new foods

IN FACT…… there is no research/evidence to support that the statement is never been re-visited after the NEW allergy statement come out. The latest research suggests that the EARLY and OFTEN introduction of foods that are most likely to cause an allergic reaction, such as the BIG 9, might be beneficial in preventing food allergies.

So, you don’t need to wait three to five days between introducing LOW-RISK foods

Next…..

we will introduce the potentially allergenic food. There are seven days between the introduction of the first allergenic food and the next allergenic food. That’s longer than 3-5 days. But the other days in the week there is no reason why we cannot or should not introduce low-risk foods like avocado, bananas, sweet potato
